thx Black Fire!! I've heard that before also.. I've been looking at my dyno graph trying to match what I felt the car doing with the curves..The sputtering is clear on the chart at about the 5800rpm mark. Might need to shift around 55-5600?? think I just need some more practice and I'll be alright. I think I just had my hopes high with my new found power with dyno tune and the nice weather. I'll be going back in a few weeks and post the new numbers.

Yeah that was definitely your problem. Mine only had about 2k on them at the time and it was like 70 out. Next time I go I'll leave my Nitto's on.

I would love to take my mustang out to the drag strip! Have only been once before in my life, and made two runs. Was in my '99 BMW 540 6MT in 2005, which was "capable" of 14.1 @ 98, but in my first run I got so nervous and my windows started fogging up just as I was staging (I turned off my A/C but didn't open windows). Long story short, I spun, missed a shift, and ran a 16.8 (!), losing to a SABLE WAGON! The Sable wasn't stock, but C'MON!

My 2nd run I spun the rears just enough to clean them off, got a GREAT launch, but then still missed my 1-2 shift! With that 1-2 screw-up I managed a 14.8. Better, but still far from the car's capability. Driver skill indeed.

I never got my 2011 6MT vert to the track, but I am anxious to see what my '12 6AT will do, since it 'should' eliminate many of the driver errors I mentioned above, even tho I am saddled with the 18" A/S Pirellis. (My 540 had 255/40-17 Dunlop 2000E's that were an all-season compound but stuck well).
