That a lot of base V6 Mustangs are coming with a rear spoiler even though the 100A package is not supposed to include one?

My understanding was that you had to order the $295 101A package that consists of the spoiler and lower side stripe to get the spoiler. And then if you didn't want the stripe you order stripe delete and only get the spoiler.

I'll have to make sure when it comes time to order mine that I make sure to delete the spoiler if they are just automatically including them now.

 

Ah. Good point. Almost every base V6 I've seen haa the spoiler.. with no side stripes. So unless all those people ordered the Appearance package and opted for side stripe delete, it's a little odd.

 

I suspect a lot of folks don't like the '11 side stripes... even folks that don't just hate ANY sidestripes. I think the '10 and earlier look okay, but I don't like the new ones.

 

Right, but the cars I am seeing are 100A base cars, not the 101A base cars that come with the sport appearance package which is the spoiler and stripes.

 

I just checked out my local dealers on line. Looks like all the base Mustangs have the side stripes and a spoiler.

 

Those would be the 101A cars.

 

My local dealer had a couple base 2011s with no spoilers...
