Has anyone installed this automatic tranny pan?

I saw this transmission pan online and wondered if anyone here has installed one. I like the fact that it has a dipstick and drain plug and the larger capacity and cooling fins are a plus too. I was thinking of making this my next mod. Opinions?

looks like a nice piece and the fins should help keep things a tad cooler. Whats the price and where would you be getting it from?

They are for sale everywhere for the price that Bucko posted and I have seen them for $249 at a few places also.

I did read on a Ford Raptor forum where a guy installed one of these and it was leaking right through the middle of the pan because the pan was too porous in a few areas. That makes me a little hesitant to buy one. Probably just a fluke.

I was also wondering how low these hang and how much it would affect the clearance.

There are some pics of the pan installed - careful searching in google will locate these pics, and you can see how much it hangs down.

OP do you still have your Monte? I had a 71 back in the day with a 454 in it.

I'll see if I can find them. Thanks.

Glenn,
I do still have my 70 Monte Carlo. I've owned this car since 1987 and it was my second car that I had ever bought at the time. Mine currently has a 396 big block in it. Here are a couple of pictures. Was your 71 a factory 454 car? A 71 454ss car is worth some money as only 1,919 were made.
