Atually, since Amy posted that the contract went 'well into the next bodystyle' it looks like this is going through 2011 at least.

Reaal test becomes the all-new Stang in 2012+ Does Ford cut a new deal for another SVT-developed Shelby, or do they "drop" Shelby to the level Roush and Saleen are at where they get the cars but have to redesign/equip them themselves?

So much for being a limited edition - looks like more GT500's will be produced compared to the '03-'04 Terminators.

I say again, It is my recollection that the GT500 was never-ever-ever-ever intended as a SE. Ford said from the very begining that they would make as many as they could sell. The GT500 was and is nothing more then a renamed SVT Cobra. You want a Shelby then buy the GT500KR or SuperSnake or Shelby GT.

are there 50k people that will pay 10-20k on top of msrp?

soon as the camaro and challenger are out ADM will stop for the gt500s. peoples friends will already own the gt500 so they will want something different and new.

I know I'm a broken record here, but why on earth would anyone pay a penny over MSRP for a Shelby GT. They are tons of them on ebay for well below MSRP. Some cases even at invoice. Think I heard that you can use X-plan on the SHelby GT now too, plus $1000 rebate, and/or 0% financing.

Wow, $1k under MSRP almost makes a Shelby GT not a rip-off.
