If your going to have the spoiler black, I think it would look best and blend well if you wrapped the roof in the black.

If your not going to stripe the hood, roof, decklid or door panels, I would just leave the spoiler unpainted.. IMO having a black painted spoiler just won't blend in very well on another color by itself..

FYI, this thread isn't about leaving it unpainted It's about whether to buy a prepainted one or unpainted and then have it painted locally.

I picked up my OEM GT500 spoiler last week. My local dealer priced matched the $231 from http://parts.autonationfordwhitebear...th-gurney-flap

With tax it came out to $251. Currently it's at the body and I will find out the final number when I pick it up.

Just for the record, my spoiler is painted. It was not left in the plastic black. My spoiler was painted satin black and the Gurney flap was shot with a different shade of black, for contrast.

FYI, what I meant by unpainted, was keeping the spoiler the same color as the rest of your car rather than having it painted black.. I didn't post anything about putting an unpainted spoiler on your friggin car.. Therefore I'm fully aware of what this thread is all about

Perhaps you also forgot the name of your thread title as well..

Unfortunately that's not what "unpainted" means. Maybe you're just being sarcastic and joking around... If so, I can gladly return fire!!

I was being sarcastic for the most part, just as you were.. So yes, I can gladly return fire as well.. And I also know what unpainted means, so apparently either I misinterpreted your definition or you misinterpreted mine..

At any rate, to clarify, I was referring to unpainted (red) as in keeping it the same color as the rest of your car rather than having it painted in black !

That's a really good looking car. Love the contrast in colors.

That way I could make sure the color matches. Although I supposed I could just return the pre-painted one if the color doesn't match. Does anyone have experience with either? Thanks!
I think CJPP has the best reputation for pre painted stuff. At least that's what got out of researching pre painted wings online.

I bought my pre painted spoiler from them and I was really pleased with the quality.
