GT500 wing painted or unpainted?
Been thinking about doing the only exterior mod I like on these cars besides lowering and tint American Muscle sells the 3D Carbon GT500 wing painted for $300 or unpainted for $192. Has anyone bought the unpainted version and had a shop paint it for you? I'm curious if I could get it done for about the same price as the pre-painted one. That way I could make sure the color matches. Although I supposed I could just return the pre-painted one if the color doesn't match. Does anyone have experience with either? Thanks!

I bought my 3D Carbon spoiler pre-painted Red Candy metallic from CJ Pony parts, I believe 3D actually does the painting. I preferred the gurney flap on the rear edge pained black as they do with theirs.
Mine was a great match on a 3 year old car. Very happy with the results.

I am planning on upgrading to the OEM GT500 spoiler myself. You can get it here for $231 plus shipping: (Found this site from another member here!)

My body shop said it would most likely be about $100 - $150 to do the final prep and paint. I figure for a little more money I would go for the OEM.

I second that. Plus their Customer Service Sucks.

Does anyone on here have a Race Red with the 3dCarbon or GT500 wing or know anyone with one? I'm looking at race red GT500's without stripes on Bing/google but it's not a very accurate representation.

I had no issues with AM when I got mine....paint was good, installation a snap.
I loosely installed mine so that the striper cpuld run the vinyl under the spoiler. He covered the Gurney flap in matte black heavy gauge wrap material and it looks factory.

I know a **** good shop in Indy. Abra body and paint. Did an awesome job matching my performance white bumper. (Hard color to match due to plastic and metal parts) affordable too!
I got several quotes and they were the best.

I bought the 3dCarbon pre-painted from CJ Pony Parts. Mine is 2011 GT RACE RED, picture attached below. Paint match was 95%, looks great, black Gurney flap. Paid $297 back in 2012.
