GT500 vs RS3
If my budget was big enough to do either of those cars, I would have bought a C6 Z06 hands down. Nothing else comes close in my eyes.
Do you want to get serious about tracking the car? Or just once in a while?

500+ horsepower 7-liter motor? check.
naturally aspirated? check.
dry sump oil system? check.
heavy-duty sport suspension? check.
3200 lbs? check
huge brakes? check
very wide rubber? check
Yeah, Z06 is awesome for the track. Love to see them.
While I see them as beautiful cars... I kind of hate em but I'm willing to listen to reason. On Autotrader, I'm only seeing the option to select z06 and the ONE near me is around 60k. Am I missing something?
Yes I absolutely recommend a corvette. If your not doing much track driving the regular ones (non z06) would be excellent too. Look at the grand sports. They have the dry sump and several of the go fast and handle upgrades but without the premium price of the z06. And a used z06 should be in the high 40's at this point. Unless it's almost new. Maybe low 50's for a really nice one.
Really depends what you want. For me, a well driven vette with equal tires and brakes will beat up on my mustang all day. Lighter, more aerodynamic, reliable, and great handling cars. I was just instructing a guy in a 2015 vette last week and that car easily was matching my corner speeds in my car. Without breaking a sweat. Highly impressive.

Heh, the pricing must be off for my area... The Z06's that are 8 years old with 30k miles are still mid 40's. The 2011s with 15-30k miles are mid 50s up to 60.
I'm really not interested in a vette though...
The Shelby I'm strongly considering is a white 2014 performance package with 800 miles. The only drawback is that it doesn't have any of the interior upgrades and no striping.
EDIT:
Actually the dealer is misrepresenting the vehicle, probably because it's a maserati dealership and they know nothing about the car...
According to the window sticker that I looked up, it's actually a track pack
What's weird is the sticker says it has a 4.2" LCD screen but it's not a nav equipped car. What gives?

I'd go for that white one! How much are they asking?
They're asking 55 for it. I'm gonna jump on it.
I'm beyond stoked. At 25, I never thought I'd have this sort of privilege. Buying my first supercar feels goood. I'm gonna miss my black coyote though.. I'll have to do my first burnout before I deliver her though

OH YEAH!!
Ugh I probably could've afforded a GT500, but I just couldn't let myself daily drive a GT500. I'm already regretting daily driving a 400+ hp GT. It's such a waste. It's not fun to drive slow everywhere. I wish we had a smaller, lighter, 250hp V8 car. Even my 03 GT, I'd easily get in trouble with. I loved driving the FR-S that I had for 3 days, because you could drive it flat out and you wouldn't be breaking the speed limit!

To the OP, congrats dude! You're doing very well for yourself if you can get this car at 25! Looks great, but I'd add some black or blue stripes :]
