GT500 Spy Shots - 11/3

Hadn't seen these posted yet. Nothing much we haven't already spotted, I don't think.

Grabber Blue and red stripes. Yuck, but I have to remember it's only a tester.

The 3/4 views all look pretty good. It's those side views that are begging for the camo to come off.

Obviously Ford didn't want to give too much away with these...

Definitely.

White or even orange wouldn't be too bad, I don't think.

I like the new side stripe design and that the shelby goes across the whole decklid like it should have before.

That snake better be on the other side for production! And those front tires look stretched. And God, that 2nd pic makes the car look SO huge. The overhangs are ridiculous and the rear looks even fatter, especially since it appears to be accelerating, making the rear hang down and front rise up. It looks like the fat *** is weighing the car down!

Also, I remember someone saying in an earlier thread (months ago) of GT500 spy shots, that the lower grille intake looked too big. I completely agree now. The lower intake has always been smaller, in the 60s and the last gen S197. Now it is almost the same size, if not bigger than the upper grille and it makes the GT500 look like it has a huge under bite. I'm glad the new GT and V6 front ends share the slanted headlights, unlike the 05-09s which begged for the GT500 front end swap. Now there is pretty much nothing on the GT500 that makes me envy it, other than the engine. The 2011 GT will satisfy pretty much any Mustang enthusiast out there if it has the 400hp 5.0 and 6speed. I see no reason to justify the extra money for the GT500, other than from a collector's point of view.

That black plastic in the rear just ruins it for me. It looks bad from the back and side. They could not come up with something better than that. If the rear was the weakness on the 05-09 then what do you call this? The tail lights do not help much.

Not any more cartoony than Grabber Orange, Screaming Yellow or Tangerine.

I happen to love Screaming Yellow and Grabber Blue. I believe that the pony car needs some colors to help scream it's name out loud. Look at some of Dodge's colors. Bright pastels never looked bad on a Muscle car. Then again, neither did dark metallics. It's a car that can support all kinds. Another reason it's so popular.
