I have a set of brand new mufflers off of my wife's 2013 Mustang GT and I have someone that owns a 2012 V6 Mustang that is interested in buying them. So my question is.

Will the mufflers from a 13' Mustang GT fit a 12' Mustang V6? I know that the pipe size is different 2.75" vs 2.50", but does anyone know if the flange where they bolt up, will it fit? Is it interchangeable?

 

No, they are different diameters. They could take at to a local muffler shop and get the flanges swapped. Cost should be minimal. It's an easy swap.

 

No they wont fit. Also does this person know they wont get any sound difference or very very minimal difference out of the mufflers? Stock mufflers only serve to quiet the noise with a different motor up in front its going to sound like crap

 

Actually, the GT mufflers, if I'm not mistaken, have less air restriction than the v6 mufflers. I did the swap on my '06 sixxer when I got the Borlas for my '07 V8.
Sounded pretty **** good.

No different than GT guys putting GT500 mufflers on their cars.
