GT Badge broke off of trunk when shutting it
Hey everyone, hope everyone has had there pony's out and about the last few weeks!
So, Took my car for the longest drive since I've gotten it in December, about 300 miles total. Everything was fine, ran great, got tons of looks. I pulled in my driveway, got something out of my trunk. When I closed the trunk, my gt badge came off. It looks like there only 4 little plastic prongs that hold the badge on and they broke off (Snapped I guess you could say).
I didn't slam it that hard either. My left side exhaust I noticed may be a little to high and sometime vibrates the trunk on cold starts because it "taps" against the rear plastic bumber. I wonder if they may have caused the little prongs to stress crack from all the vibrations from the exhaust pipe? Haven't had time to get to the shop to have the exhaust hanger heated up and bent down yet. It's a borla s type so definitely has a loud, rumbly cold start.
Can i glue this one using some sort of adhesive or am I screwed and have to get another gt badge or decklid panel?

I have the same decklid panel and thought they would have at least used some 3M double sided tape also. Maybe try some plastic adhesive like this http://www.autozone.com/sealants-glu...nge/477969_0_0

This stuff works great also,

I've used it on my rear emblem and also in addition to the bolt on my spoiler when I replaced it.

WI'll the double sided sticky tape hold up against washing it? Like will soap harm the tape at all? Was thinking about the silicone option because of the "water proof" options but taor sounds like it may hold out longer. Maybe?

I used the 3M double sided tape to put the address numbers on the vinyl siding of my house. They have been on for 6 years and I power wash my house 2-3 times a year

Thank you all for the suggestions! Ended up picking up gorilla double sided tape. Let me tell you that is some sticky stuff. It took more time getting the tape off my fingers than it did getting it on the car lmao.
