GT-350 and Boss... back ?!
Here is a post (below) a just saw on another forums tonight... was dated Jan 12th.
Looks like some folks already have the GT-350 on pre-order at Shelby... is it possible Ford dealers won't have it ??
---------------------POST FROM OTHER FORUM--------
The GT350 is unlike any other model to date...you wont be able to mistake it for anything else, and there will be no possible way to make a clone with the design of this...Shelby did a great job keeping it hidden from the public and spies. If you REALLY are interested, call Roger, and get out your checkbook. I just wrote my check for the deposit, and cant wait to see the responses when this is released in a few days! Unlike many other models, I expect this to sell out completely and quickly.
Oh, and for the record, there will be a streetable BOSS released as well by Ford in the near future. I got that info from a Ford insider a while back when I contacted him about a promotion he received.

I thought they were talking about the design of the car -- I am pretty sure it will be a 5.0L as other rumors have suggested. a V8 is far more in Shelby's history than anything turbo.
Besides, I would think they would have to wait for the F-150 version of the EB to come out before they do any swaps. Wouldn't the block will be different for longitundinal mounting? I would be surprised if Ford would let Shelby use it first.

Wow, I'm pretty curious to see just what the GT-350 looks like now. Sounds like it could potentially look quite a bit different than anything we've seen.

I bet you can't recreate it because Shelby will make sure the parts are not available unless you pay him for them. Just like you can still have him build you one of his other licensed cars all these years later and have it in his registry.
They will have licensed parts that only he can provide and for this cash cow he'll make sure they don't get out or duplicated.
IMO

There are already a few threads running on the GT350. It IS due to be revealed on the 18th January. I'm hoping it's running a tuned Coyote V8.....allegedly the mule that Shelby have used was a white GT.
I'm hoping for a subtly revised look, front and rear, with a 450ish bhp Coyote and a sprinkling of FRRP suspension goodies

All other sheet metal is easy to copy in fiberglass, carbon fiber or steel (China).

That would be cool. Very cool. But I doubt it. I know Shelby's are expensive, but a Shelby with unique sheetmetal (I'm not talking about easy to bolt on front/rear facias) would be mega-bucks
I'm sure I read that there was likely to be an Iaccoca based on the 2010 bodyshell too. I sure hope so!

It should be more of a road racer, so I too am hoping for nice suspension mods and it's be awesome if they did an IRS... That woud really set it apart from the GT below and the 500 above it. Can only imagine the price. It shouldn't cost more than the 500, but I some how see it working out that way.
