"groan" noise coming from my 2012 Mustang GT

I have a 2012 mustang GT stick premium with just 200 miles on it. When I go over a bump slowly there is a "groan" noise coming from the suspension. When I'm driving fast I don't hear it. The noise is annoying. Is the noise normal? anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it? thanks in advance

Can you be more specific? Like where exactly is it coming from (R/F R/R etc.)

And what's a groan noise?

It's hard to explain what exactly the noise is, it's not loud. When I'm going over a bump slowly I can hear the noise. It sounds like two rubbers are rubbing against each other, or the spring is rubbing against something when it goes over a bump slowly. I can't tell if it's coming from the front or rear. Maybe the spring isn't lubricated i dont know. My friend rode in the car and said it's normal and its just that the suspension is very stiff. He said his 2004 mazda 3 manual, does the same thing. thanks for the quick reply

Do you have brembo? And I'd say no, that isn't normal. Take it in.

no i don't have brembo, i don't have the strut tower brace. Mine never came with one, are the 2012 mustang gt's suppose to come with one? So there is suppose to be NO noise whatsoever coming from the suspensions right

i had an 07 fusion that did this for the first week or 2 as the suspension was settling in. It was an ordered car that had the suspension tied down for 3 weeks coming from mexico. mustangs i dont think spend that much time compressed. if its still there in another week take it in.

oh really? i really hope it goes away after a week. I spent all the money I worked for a year on this car and it sucks to have problems with a new car. I could've bought used but I wanted new so it can be problem free.

Will3212,

Did the noise problem ever get fixed? I'm having the same issue right now. I've had my 2012 Ford GT Mustang for almost a month and I have 1400 miles on it. It didn't do it at first, but now it's just annoying.

There's a ton of threads on this; there's a TSB out for bad lower control arm bushings; free replacement under warranty. I had mine replaced and the problem is gone. They will likely replace both front LCAs and the bushings as well.

Edit for sample with TSB number:

I'm on my 3rd control arms. It took a good 3 visits to the dealer and every time they replace the same thing, control arms. So far so good right now
