Well, out of those two I probably would choose Goodyear even though I have not had good luck with them in the past. These factory Pirelli AS tires are pretty crappy if you ask me. Mine are so loud that I have to drive with either the window down or the radio up when I can't have the window down.

Well I keep vacillating between the Goodyear F! Supercar and the Pirelli P Zero Summer. The Pirelli is the more expensive tire, however Rouch sells them all for the same price. My concern is Pirelli noise, but if the Godyears prove to be noisy as well I will be bummed. What say you?

I have 5500 miles on the GYSC tires and they are still quiet. They are not showing
any wear with lots of spirited driving.

Agree! My Pirelli's are noisy as heck and I've only got 10k on them!

I have two sets of summer Pirellis on two cars. One with 19k and one with 12k. So far so good. I only get noise on certain types of cement pavement on the freeway. Noise is a common complaint with these - I just haven't had it.

With summers you're looking at limited life - probably 20-30k - so you could try them and see since you may not have them long depending on the amount of driving you do. They ARE nice and sticky in warm in weather. They get slippery below freezing though.

I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with the P-zeros that came on car. Always seems I have to drive 3 miles before they smooth out. Of course it's colder in MN than most places and that probably has an effect.


I'm pretty convinced I can break the tires loose when it's 10 degrees out at 50 MPH. The p-zeros are really scary when it's cold. To be expected yes....but still scary, lol

thanks for all the input. I decided to go with Pirelli based on tread design and cost per tire, the P Zero is approx $85 more per tire than the Goodyears. P Zero has a more aggressive design and is the most widely used OEM tire. We will see, if I made a mistake I'll be buying Michelin's.

Not sure why you are thinking a summer tire is good (or even safe) in temps below 45 degrees. Of course the Goodyears are garbage under 40 degrees, they're supposed to be, and they aren't supposed to be on your car in those temps - they're outright dangerous. Hot, those tires are actually quite good and reasonably priced. I had zero complaints, but when the weather turned, I knew that I was supposed to swap them out.

I've got these Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3 ultra high performance all season tires on my car currently and they are pretty bad on even a little snow. Definitely 90% ultra high performance (at least as much as an all season can be) and about 10% all season. They look good and are quiet and they'll do, but they definitely aren't great for snow traction.
