A good tune + CAI?

Would this be a good bang for the buck? Any problems with any of them so far?

That's probably, one of the best- if not the best- CAI on the market for the 2010+ there's ample information on these forums if you search.

I have the steeda on my 2010, and there's already 4-5 members with it on their '11. It's a great piece.

That's pretty cheap, don't know if the bama tune would be as good as a steeda tune.

I actually think the Bama and CNL tunes are the best (and most honest) tunes on the market.
The Steeda CAI looks and probably works good though.
So to me the combo of the Steeda CAI and Bama tune is probably a very good choice.

I Agree! You can also wait for the JLT also. Very good product and another honest vendor. You will average around 25rwhp going from 93 to 93 tune no matter who you buy from.

I have a BBR tune/Steeda intake and it rocks, waiting for their updated tune in the next week or so to update my combo. From what I have heard you cant go wrong with the Bama/AM tune either.

Is the Steeda really worth $75 over the C&L?

I cant speak on behalf of Cl, but the Steeda looks sweet and well made. Plus I got a great deal it was more like even Stevens on the pricing between the 2.

Where do you get that the Steeda is $75 more than the C&L ?

The Steeda is $389 and the C&L is $379, looks like only $10 difference to me.

And the Steeda is a better design, has a straighter path of air in front of the throttle body.

Even so, I do think the Steeda is a better design and it retains the factory style air scoop on the bottom of the air box, so, yes, it is worth the extra $$$.

I was told that the C&L reuses the stock air ducting also.

What tests have you done on both intakes to make a comparison that the Steeda is a better design? What type of machines did you use to equally test both products?

You're a real funny guy...

I use anecdotal data for comparison, in other words, use what I've seen and read.

I read that on their website too. I'm leaning towards the CNL myself for that (and other) reasons. They seem honest, straight forward and looks like a nice product.

Personally, I'm waiting for a tune that gets rid of skip shift. Montreal Ponies claims that his tune eliminates it, but Steeda and BAMA both said otherwise when I emailed them. Perhaps it's a Canada-only thing?

I think Montreal is waiting (as am I) for the Stteda update that will eliminate skip shift. From what I've read no one has cracked this yet..

I still say that there has to be a mechanical mod to eliminate the skip-shift.

With all the consternation over this I'm surprised one of the shops hasn't figured it out yet.

I looked over the C&L site and didn't find anything saying the 2011 Kit used the factory style grille air scoop.

I agree....The Corvette was so simple. Pull the harness or pull the fuse, Then Jumper the lead with a resistor if you wanted to loose the dash light. It was cake. The Mustang HAS to be similar.....A solenoid getting it's signal form the ECU to engage or not. Maybe I'll have to put the car on the lift tomorrow and nose around some....
