Hmm, potential mod for coupe owners?

I sit all the way back, and have the 401a seats and i have no problems, especially with the seatbelt feeder that can swivel in and out as youd like it.

I think my problem is exasperated by the Recaros - I test drove 2009 and 2010 GTs with the regular seats and had no issues.

Sounds like a perfect excuse for a 5-point harness.

Everyone has their opinions .

why take the risk? I'm pretty sure it's not fun to get ejected, or thrown around in a rollover, did you know you can be a danger to other passengers who are wearing their belt In a crash? One time I know of, there was a couple riding in a car, I think the woman was driving and she was wearing her belt but the man wasn't, they where t-boned; the force of the impact slammed him into her and broke her neck. Not another scratch on her, not sure what happened to him. There's a lot worse things than death, get thrown out, break your neck and you could live the rest of your days in a bed. Won't have to worry about being pulled over though. Just not worth what could happen. I personally like my seatbelt it keeps me steady, if I'm screwing around on a back road, I like it to lock as opposed to me having to stand on the dead pedal and pin down the steering wheel in a hard stop.

Don't get me wrong , seat belts are safe but I don't like them drawing up on me . Semi's have a seat belt lock to keep it loose on u. Feels more comfortable.
Wish car manufacturers wld try it.

"Stupid is as stupid does" Forrest Gump

Motorcyclists don't generally ride 100 mph anywhere except on the track where they have extensive safety gear. I have had friends come off a bike on a track at high speed and walk away without a scratch because of the safety gear they wear. Seat belts are neither practical nor safe on a motorcycle so that was a really dumb comparison. And anyone who rides a motorcycle without a helmet regardless of their state law deserves whatever they get. Same with not wearing seat belts. There are dumb asses on the road everywhere but that doesn't mean I would want to be like them.

While I agree with everything else you said...
For that statement^, when you say "generally" it becomes nonsense.

There are plenty of stupid motorcyclists out there that routinely ride in excess of 100mph weaving through traffic on the interstate.

Are they more stupid than a mustang driver not wearing his seat belt? Marginally.

Thank you for that... I needed a laugh this morning.

But I think you'll find that the term "generally" still applies. The "squids" (squirelly kids) on crotch rockets that you see with their $400 helmets, t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops riding in traffic at excessive speeds are very noticeable but for each of them there are thousands of more intelligent riders that aren't doing idiotic things to get themselves noticed.

we put on around 1,300 KM from this Saturday to Monday on our drive to the states... we seen A LOT of motorcyclists on the roads around town and on the Interstate highways. It was a first for me, never seen a motorcyclist riding without a helmet, ever. I think it's risky business no matter how safe they are riding. They can keep their bikes in control (as long as nothing mechanically happens inhibiting them from controlling their bike) or from someone hitting them while they aren't paying attention.

But from ALL of the riders we did see. They were all respectable and obeyed the law. I'm sorry to say.... we have a lot worst drivers in Canada than in the States. Canadians don't know what it means when we say that the Left lane is a PASSING lane. Canadians love to sit in the left lane doing 110, 120km/p and do not move over for others actually trying to PASS.

But Canadians are polite... they use their turn signal when they cut you off.

I've found that they won't move over in highly congested areas like the QEW between St. Catherines and Toronto but are usually more accommodating on more lightly travelled highways like the 401 between Windsor and London.
