Is this a good deal on the 2013?
First of all, I love my 2011. If it didn't have 22k miles and if it wasn't scraped by someone on the rear quarter panel, I wouldn't even consider this. But, I took it to carmax and they offered me 22k for it. I laughed and left. They did mention that rear quarter was painted and the door. So, tell me if this is a good deal or if I can do better.
My car is a 2011 GT Premium MSRP was 39k. I put another 4k into the car as far as mods. Car is sick. Dealer is offering me $25,500 for it but I think I can push $26,000. I get to keep the car until they order me the 2013.
2013 GT - Track Pack, Electronic Package, 401A, Comfort Package, Shaker 1000, Rear Camera, Reverse Sen. and Security Pack,
MSRP is $43,205. They're selling it to me at Invoice Price, which I think is 39,677 or so. I have an $1850 rebate, $750 private plus another $100 as special customer and $1000 regular rebate that just changed. So, I think the total is about 40k :/
I owe 18k on my 2011. That's about 8k value to deduct from total. Monthly Payment's about $550 (60mo at 1.9%, not sure if they can find any better rates). I currently pay $460 a month. I reaaaaallly want to be close to $500 a month but I'm not sure what to scrape from the options. My gut says the Shaker Pro but I really loved it in my 2011. I'm torn.
What do you guys think? That's the best I can get on the stupid trade. Is this trade worth doing? If I do get the 2013, I want it fully loaded as stated so I'm set for the next 5-6 years. Otherwise, if not, Ill just keep the 11. Thoughts?

Keep this in mind. A new gt will be awesome but you have an awesome car now. Make the dealer march to your drum because you already have a nice car. Don't drop the shaker system, you will be extremely disappointed. Make them make it right. Don't buy it on your desires.

Of I was u I would keep the 11, I thought about it also bc I have a 2011 with 14,000 miles and the bumper is alittle damaged but it's only a $800 fix so I ain't worried about it, say u get the 13 and someone else hits you etc you will be feeling the same way right now and than you will be asking to trade it in again bc of a little boo boo lol ... KEEP IT!

$43K+ is getting into Boss territory. I know the Boss is not for everybody -- all depends on how you use your car. However I would expect a Boss to hold its value better, and if you are already thinking about trading a 2 year old car, then that might be a factor.
Actually, $43K might get you a new, left on the lot, 2012 Shelby at this point.

If you can get it for another $50/month, then DO IT! The 2013s are fabulous!
Don't forget though, that we're only 2 years away from the all new 2015 model.........so if you like what you see when it's revealed then you'll have the latest and greatest, if not you should be able to pick up a good deal on a '14MY.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me if they'll sell it at invoice and give you that much on the trade. I just got a loaded leftover 2012 demo for $4500 more than they're offering you on the '11, so 26k seems really fair. I really wanted a '13 too, but it was just too much money right now.

On your current car, doesn't matter how "sick" you think it is, the mods add absolutely no value to the car and in many cases can detract from what you would get on a trade-in for a stock vehicle. Kiss that $4k goodbye. Places like Carmax will low-ball you, selling it yourself is the only way you'll get at or close to KBB value. Even the dealership will undercut you, no matter how friendly they are. They want to make $$$ on the car and can't if they're paying you what it's worth. Also, what you paid for your car has nothing to do with what it's worth now. You will need to get objective estimates to find out what it's truly worth. Search for your car type through auto trader, carmax, etc., to find out what the car is selling for. It will give you a better idea of its value than expecting buyers to have the same appreciation for the car that you do simply because you paid for and drove it.

I'm trying to make a deal on a loaded (no NAV) '11 GT Premium with Brembo and 401A pkg's w/ 14,000 miles. They're offering it at $28,900 and claim they paid $27,300 for it. So with your car having 22k miles I don't think their offer of $26,000 is out of line. What options does your car have? Maybe I should just buys yours!
