Thumbs down Getting really crappy gas mileage

Because I'm driving the SNOT out of this beast!!

Just really enjoying my stang, and wanted to let the folks at Ford know (since they read here) I think they've done a great job.

That is all.

+1. I love my 5.0L way too much to worry about the gas guage.

This car has a gas gauge? I thought it just Chimes when she's thirsty.

Sup Brian! What's the best 1/4 you've run in your 5.0? Is it as fast as your last GT was?

You know, I haven't even checked. But I will on my way home. I'm gonna guess around 17mpg. I'm on the highway about 65% of the time. But I definitely don't save any fuel on a clear onramp LOL

Strange. I'm only getting about 13mpg at probably 60% stop n go. And Ive probably only chirpped the tires 3-4 times since I've bought it. 800 miles on it ATM.

12 gt premium.

I think it gets better once you get it broken in. I know it gets louder. Right around 1500 miles my car woke up sound-wise with stock exhaust. On the computer mine was right around 13-14MPG too.

I drove my 5.0 like she wants to be driven last week! Never got below 80 for about 190 miles? When got behind a slow poke, passed, & then cruised to @ least 120? I had like 210 miles on that tank. I got 24.2 MPG. The faster I go, better gas mileage I got!! Yes, our cars are the best!!

Faster = Better MPG = Bigger Smile

I checked on the way home. I had never reset the car's trip comp since I bought and at 12k it said I was getting 17.1 MPG. For the drive home I got 19.2mpg. Some stop and go, but a lot of crusing @80 in 6th..

Great posts! I LOVE my car too!! Sooo much fun to drive!

I've gotten between 16-20 mpg on the 4 or 5 tanks so far. I'm probably 60-80% highway depending on the tank but I've got about 5 miles of country roads to get to the highway with a couple stops and some nice turns, so I get on it and rip through 1st, 2nd, & 3rd at least twice a day every time I drive it. It's just toooo **** hard to resist!

My mpg driving it the fun away around town is about 18.5. If I drive it like Miss Daisy, I can get it up to about 22 in town though. However, the SMG (smiles per gallon) are much more fun at 18.5!
