General SCT iTSX tuner question - tire size changes

This section is most active and I talk to most people in here, so I decided to post this here. I have an iTSX linked to my daily 05 Escape. I have one size bigger tires and have changed the tire size in the SCT app. I want to put my Cobra wheels on it with some new tires soon and give my dad my old tires for his 06 Escape, since they're still pretty new....

My question is: can I use the tuner *just* to change the tire size on his Escape to correct his speedometer? Or does the tuner have to be married to the respective car to make those changes in the tune?

Thanks all!

Yeah it's too bad you couldn't do that for any vehicle.
