Fuel Prices

This shot was taken when I was in Greece on Jan 2, 2012. Keep in mind these prices are in Euros per liter.

Hmmm, currently paying £1.34/litre here in the UK. My DD BMW takes about £90 to fill.........so that's around $132.........and I have to fill it every 4 days

I feel your pain. Prices here in Macedonia are a little cheaper, but it still cost me $119.00 US the other day to fill my Explorer. I fill mine about every 4 days or so as well.

Whilst the oil companies are still making HUGE profits, around 70% of our prices are the various Gov't taxes

Ah gotcha. So is the 95 the lowest and 100 considered the premium?

I heard they tax the hell out of it like we tax the hell out of cigarettes here. To discourage use. Dont they dump a ton of money into mass transit??

No, 95 is about 85-88 or so octane and 100 is actually 91-93 or so depending on the gas station. There are some stations that have 98 even 100 octane but not the one pictured here. The best thing about the stations here is that it is pure gas. None of that ethanol crapola.

I just got the Shell V-Power for the first time now. I payed a bit more than 80 francs (ca.87 USD) for about 40 Liters (about 10.5 gallons). that is the most expensive gas here. but....I have the impression that after putting this in my tank, my engine even makes a bit bore of that nice rumble sound!
