FRUSTRATED OUT OF MY HEAD trying to find car I want.

So I'm shopping for an 2011. I can't come close to finding what I want which is

5.0 Premium
Race Red, Candy Red, Dark Grey or Kona Blue
Saddle Leather
Manual Transmission
Brembo Brakes
Electronics Package

There is precious little Saddle Leather out there which to my mind is by far the best (most bmw) looking.

If you have the electronics package you pretty much have to get the comfort package, seems these two are attached at the hip. Odd I never remember getting into a car and deciding that my **** needs heating up. Seems logical in a convertible, but in a coupe I just don't get it. Ok Ok I guess I have to pay the extra 595 for the warm buns....

The only 5.0 premium I can find in CA which has Manual, Brembo and Electronics is Black on Black. I love Black on black. I'm currently driving Black on Black. My wife's 07 Tundra is Black on Black. I had a 66 fastback which for 7 years was black on black (later changed it). I need a freakin break from black on black!

Is there a good search engine which allows me to search Ca dealerships by typing in parameters?

I've got a buddy waiting with cash in hand to buy my 05. So I don't want to order and wait 3 months. I want to move forward, but am getting frustrated that in all of CA I can't get a color other than black with the options I want. I would even take a black car with saddle interior or black interior with either red, kona blue, dark grey exterior........ buttttt nooooooo!

Ok I'm done venting. Appreciate any advice. If there is a dealer out there who has what I'm looking for, feel free to contact me.

have you tried going to your local or favorite dealer and having them do the search for you i believe their tool does a bit more of what you want, punch in options and produce a list of cars within a defined range

For what it's worth, I've got the Electronics Package and opted not to get the comfort package in my 5.0. Didn't feel like spending to extra money for a power passenger seat basically.

Saddle is definitely the way to go. It's what I went with.

order one if it all fails- wait and see what Job 2 brings. Otherwise you'll have to 'settle' for something that comes close.

Saddle is impossible to find in CA. I was looking earlier this year and found a 2010 that was 98% what I wanted. Just didn't have Saddle. I shoulda bought it. Anyways, good luck. Try PMing Brian to see if there is anything in Washington/Oregon. Would be a nice drive home!

Order your car. That's the only way to guarantee you get exactly what you want.

www.cars.com seems to me to be the easiest search

Exactly.

Sad thing is, that dealers don't get "freebies" from ford. They order cars in combinations that they think will sell easily; because if they can't sell it they're stuck with the car taking the loss.

So very few dealers are going to sell a blue (not the most popular colour) car with the saddle interior (again not the most popular colour) with the EP (the most expensive option on the Mustang) because that combination is very particular and nobody wants a $42,000 albatross.

Order it!

Candy Red looks "deeper" than Race Red and I LOVE the Saddle Leather. Go for it!

Funny, I was looking at the same combination (Saddle interior with Kona Blue) but I have a concern with how well the saddle will wear long term. I hoping that in the time between now and January when I order I'll get a better idea of how the colour holds up.

Order it! I ordered my GT-500 and a Bullitt and 5.0 LX before it. I negotiated the deal before ordering and got exactly what I wanted, built specifically for me.....

When I bought my '08, I really wanted a Vista Blue w/ Black and Parchment interior. I live in Southern California and there was nothing. I ended up with a Vista Blue w/ Dark Charcoal interior, with which I have a love/hate relationship. On one hand, I think the Dark Charcoal looks very elegant, especially during the day. On the other hand, at night the inside of the car is like sitting in a black hole, and on a summer day (like right now), it's like sitting in an oven.

I'd love a saddle interior w/ the 401A (premier trim) option, but Ford does not do that. Brick would be nice too, but I'm afraid that within 3-4 years, the red would fade to pink or worse.
