Front Liscense Plate Bracket

It would be nice to mount the front liscense plate on without screws. I googled this bracket and its clamping arrangement seems reasonable.

http://www.ccmustangbrackets.com/brackets.html

Has anbody had any experience with this product?

Thank you!

I want a bracket that hides the plate and only deploys it when it senses a cop car is near...

Speaking of Front Plate Brackets, anyone have the Altec Retractable Show-N-Go Plate Bracket on a 2010 V6 or GT ??

They make both manual AND motorized versions ... seen plenty of pics & videos of them on 2005-2009, but not on a 2010.

The 2010-11 V6 has a small black chin spoiler along the lower edge of the bumper cover (GT has something similar) so just wondering how it fits / works on these cars.

Tried to find a mfr. page to this product to link to, but all I could find were vendors sites (american muscle, ninosport, etc).

For all of you that DO have this product (any year or make car), how durable is it ... can it handle year-round daily driver use in snow & ice, rain, etc and 20k+ miles a year at 75 MPH ??

Thanks ED / GottaHaveIt ... that's the one I'm talking about !!

Doug

I like this one almost better than the Altec one ... more solid and I don't really need mine to retract just don't want to drill holes in my bumper !! But he makes no claims of it fitting 2010-11 other than saying it WILL NOT work with cars with lower grills ... which would mean 2010-11 V6, but what about the 2010-11 GT that does not have a lower grill ??

I'd definitely be able to make this work or just engineer and fabricate my own.

Just kind of nice to be able to buy something that fits and works !!

We don't need front license plate over here. Especially asked my dealership in N-Y not to drill any holes where the bracket mounts. I'll put it up for sale on e-bay if anyone is interested.

I have a bit of a question with regards to this, though at a slight tangent. If a Front License Bracket is listed on the order, does that mean the factory installs the bracket and drills holes in the bumper in house?

Usually the dealer installs the front bracket.

So let me get this straight...The factory drills the license plate bracket holes and the dealer just installs it???

Say it aint so! If thats true I'm gonna be on the phone tomorrow making sure they don't do that to my car!

Can Shaun, Overboost, Jeff, or Brian verify?

But if they don't poke through, the bumper still looks intact until the dealer gets at it, correct?

If you look close at any new bumper you can see them imagine where the plate would go and the distance between the holes and you will see it was tough for me to poke mine but as i was stopped and given a choice ticket right there or attach i did it , no big deal .
