freyed/worn parking brake lines

my search is turning up zilch so sorry if this has been posted before. i happened to look at what i think are the parking brake / emergency brake lines that run through the factory rear lower control arm. after 18k miles, they are very worn. there is a cloth-like material like one of those finger-trap-puzzles which has a good 2" hole in it. this material looks to protect the hose it wraps around. then there's significant wear on that hose. looks like someone took a carving knife and shaved the hose. this condition is on both left and right side, again where they go through the rear LCA.

anyone else have this issue?

it's a 2013 GT, non-brembo, non-track etc... everything stock except my front brakes.

I have that issue as well. When I changed to the Steeda LCA I wrapped it in spiral wrap where in contacts the LCA and zip tied the ends. Next time I have the car on a lift I'll post a picture.

Sounds like a warranty issue to me, especially if your suspension is stock. There may be a TSB about it. If yours is still under warranty that is...
