Math in public here, 3400+50(diff)-40(engine)=3410 so the other stuff, like dual exhaust, added 30 pounds? The 2011 gained 40 (3440?) pounds overall.

So... the V6 is 160# lighter than the GT?
Hmm... that could make for a very fun car (I always like lightweight cars)!
It also means V6 + power adder still might be under the GT's weight (it would be close though...).

People are also saying that the new v6 has an 8.8 rear.

If they were, it would be at the link in post #4 ... just checked it and NO, they have not been corrected yet.

It has been stated though that the 2011 is 40 lbs. heavier than the 2010 V6 and those numbers we have ...
3401 lbs ... Coupe MT
3454 lbs ... Coupe AT

Can't seem to find 2010 "Conv." weights, but the 2005 was 45 lbs. heavier than the Coupe so:
3446 lbs ... Conv. MT (2010 est.)
3499 lbs ... Conv. AT (2010 est.)

With this info we can estimate the 2011 V6 weights to be ...
3441 lbs ... Coupe MT
3494 lbs ... Coupe AT
3486 lbs ... Conv. MT
3539 lbs ... Conv. AT

I don't have any numbers to back this up but I thought the conv weighs about 120 lbs more than the coupe. I think the other numbers are spot on.

That could be, I looked every where for convertible weights and the only place I found it where it differed from coupe weights was in a 2 page "2005 Ford Mustang Specifications" I printed off www.velocityjrnl.com in Oct. 2004.

2011 GT Convertible is 117 lbs. heavier than the Coupe per the current spec sheet.

I also thought I'd read somewhere that the AT transmision is now lighter than the MT in 2011, but I could not find where I read that either. However the current GT specs show the AT being 55 lbs. heavier in coupe but only 50 lbs. heavier in Convertible.
