I want to know is there any dealer who can get the ordered mustang delivered faster than others?

I ordered with one on Mar 24 and the order is still in Process and I didn't even got the Vin number.

 

Which flavor of Mustang did you order? What were the options? Did you get a copy of the DORA that tells you your priority?

I would talk directly with 05FordGT (Jeff). He works for a Ford dealer in PA and has been selling Mustang for many years!

Hey bud, I'll be happy to help. There are many factors that make the delays. Did you order a "retail" order or did you take a "stock" order that was placed early on. This is a MAJOR delay factor. I already delivered 3 2013 GTs and my stock order was just deivered this past Friday. It was built back in March but sat around for the QC checks.

Did the dealer you order it from have allocation? Like Scott mentioned, do you have the DORA of your order? What is the type you want? If its a BOss or GT500, they are built differently and do take longer to get. If its a regular V6 or GT, did you want a Track Pack? That was on delay for a little while. Your best bet, give me a call and I can answer any questions you have. If your local to me, I can order you a car and get it. My number is in my signature below. I'm here to help any way I can. I wish I ordered my car from you. I definitely feel like the guys I'm dealing with doesn't deserve my business. It irritates me even more when he reminds me that he's the #1 Mustang dealer in the region. Based on my dates, I'm assuming their allocation is terrible.

Latest issue -- I requested a DORA sheet a looooong time ago, but haven't gotten it yet. I called them Monday and they're not sure if they have it or not. I told them to email me even if they don't have it, just so I'm notified. Nothing yet. I'll call them again Friday. </End Rant>

zenkix, I feel your pain - you are NOT alone! I too ordered from the #1 Mustang retailer in my region and while no one from Ford will tell me yet, I am sure my ETA is about to be rescheduled - third ETA.

Dealer says talk to Ford, Ford says talk to Dealer. Deysha has been a gem though and told me that my car has been awaiting shipment since 4/20. But has it shipped? Nobody knows that one...

 

I live in Kentucky and visited ALL of the ford lots within 60 miles with no luck of what I wanted. I went back to one of the closest ones and talked with a guy and asked him if there was any way to get ahold of a new mustang quick. He told me that they did what was called a "dealer trade" where someone from the lot went to where the car is located (anywhere in the USA) and drives the car back. You have to put a 1000$ down but it's a great alternative to finding out in your surrounding area. GOOD LUCK!

Zenkix, the dealer HAS the DORA, they just don't want to give it to you. They have to have it as every dealer gets them. Its a paper trail just in case the price changes or if the rebates change. That paper trail will help with getting rebates from Ford just in case they change. Stay on them and just tell them you want it. I don't understand why they won't give it to you. As soon as I get one, I scan it and email it to the customer. I hate dealers who pull this crap!!

 

Hey bud, congrats on your GT/CS. I saw pics in the other thread. A dealer trade is a good way to get a car quick. Just be aware, some dealers won't dealer trade a brand new 2013 right away, as they just got it and want to sell it themselves. I know in my area, dealers around me, would want one back in its place if I asked for a 2013 GT. Some dealers are VERY hard to deal with when it comes to dealer trades.

 

zen, this crap shouldn't be happening. I would call the she-it head, and tell him if he can't get the DORA he must not be able to get the car. Tell him to cancel the order, and that your gonna call Jeff. Jeff can probably get the car before the guy quits spinning.

My dealer got messed up with my order...
But finally I posted a complaint on them and I got a call from the manager asking me what happened.
Form then on words he is dealing with me directly. He said he was sorry and place my order is priority.

I placed order by paying deposit on March 24, but from Dayesha.. I got to know that my ordered date was around April 25 ... So they wasted 1 month of time by having my money.

Finally I got a cal from the manager saying that they got my VIN number..

Hope from now on it goes smooth...But I wasted my time a lot..
