It's the 2010+ GT500 spoiler.

I don't know, I'm not typically a fan of Flowmaster's sound, but these sound good! The have a Borla Stinger / Bassani-type sound to them, IMO.

Parked my 5.0 right next to a 2010 GT this afternoon and compared how the exhaust sounded, at least at idle.
- The 2010 has a pleasing, seemingly louder, more urgent exhaust sound.
- By comparison, the 2011 has a much lower-pitched, more rumbly sound.

After doing the side-by-side, I began to appreciate the deep exhaust tone of my 5.0 a little bit more.

One bit of science: the human ear's ability to hear sound diminishes at lower frequencies (usually lower than about 100 Hz). In fact the "A" dB (decibel) scale (usually called dBA) compensates somewhat for this rolloff of low frequency sensitivity in calculating weighted average dB level for a given soundwave. There are other scales (B, C, and D come to mind), but the point is if its deeper, then a) we (human ear) can't hear it as well, and b) it takes more energy to achieve the same perceived volume lever for a really low not as a higher bass tone.

The hypothesis I am getting at is that maybe the 2011's exhaust carries as much acoustic energy as the 4.6's, but WE just can't hear all of it! I can't believe Ford's engineers didn't analyze it all with an oscilloscope, but maybe they were indeed seeking that pleasing lower frequency rumble and in doing so dialed it up as much as they could to meet their dB-level spec limitations, which to our dumb ol' ears just doesn't sound as loud?

Still...bring on the axle-back systems!

Sounds good but I still say that the kooks cat-back sounds best so far, as far as hearing them on youtube anyways haha

One other thing, referring to the above treatise: I think this explains why the stock exhaust sounds SO quiet on youTube videos - because all low frequency sound is basically lost in the cheap mic and equipment usually used to capture the video to begin with. All we can hear are the higher frequencies in the exhaust, skewing how they'd sound to us in person, I think.

Well, I'm a little biased as I have Flowmasters on my '05.........but I think that sounds great. Not too OTT, just loud and deep enough for me.

That's also a fantastic looking car with some very tasty mods
