35% on windsheild is crazy with 15% all around.
That'll make it seem more like 5%

 

Agreed. 15% all around and 35% on the windshield is going to be hard to see out of at night. I just got my BMW tinted with Geoshield's Dark Matter 20 nano-ceramic tint all around with Dark Matter 50 on the windshield. I would recommend that.

Question: Why replace the windshield?

 

Anyone have any idea of these Mustangs will scrape up their windows like every other Mustang on the planet?

 

My dad's '04 doesn't scrape windows

But I guess that doesn't count here

 

If I'm not mistaken, beginning in MY 2008 or 2009, Ford started equipping the Mustang with Moleskin-type felt material in the window tracks, thus keeping the tint from getting all scratched up. I'm going to assume the 2010+ Mustangs feature this scratch-inhibiting felt material, too.

 

My Escape does the same thing, not just Mustangs.

 

I never liked tinted windshields. Of course all that I used to see where back in the 90s so maybe the tint is better these days. Always looked like crap, gave funny reflections and ooo boy if something went wrong with it or it got scratched.

 

This was a concern of mine since the dealer had already tinted the windows, but the tint is guaranteed against scratches forever... so they must be confident.

 

tint looks great. nice choice on the color btw, sterling grey was hard to find around here.

Yeah 50% is the darkest I'd go on the ws, especially since your sides are pretty dark....
