I don't see why the 2010 has to look radically different from the what we have now. I love the look of the current Stang and wouldn't care if the 2010 was just an improvement of what we already have with a few visual tweaks.
I'd like to know what the "spear" is that appears to split the headlamp vertically. Could it be the world's largest headlamp washer?
Oh, and is that blonde woman currently the most hated girl in all of Mustangland? GET OUT OF THE WAY WOMAN!!!!!!!

"So, think about it. Do you really, really think that Ford personnel would be either 1) stupid enough, or 2) Machieavellian enough to have deliberately or accidentally planted that obvious 'concept sketch' which might be of the 2010 Mustang for all in the world to see?"
I found an early 2005 Mustang dash clay mock-up behind Doug in 2003!

Earlier in the thread some folks pointed out that they couldn't see hips on the car upon closer examination. That may be, but this isn't a render of any current/existing Mustang and it doesn't seem like that this is an early sketch of the existing GT500 either since this has a running horse in the grille...something none of the early GT500 sketches we saw ever had IIRC.
What this does have is a front facia that fits what we saw in the latest spy shot perfectly (the lower fascia is absolutely spot on) and the same sideview mirrors the car in that spy photo was wearing as well. I think Topnotch is on the money, wether 100% or not I'm convinced this is a sketch of the new car and is very much what the next Mustang will look like.
And that leads me to my next question. Where do they find the people they use for consumer studies of these cars? If I had a quarter for every time one of those folks claimed that the new model is further removed stylistically from the first gen Mustang than the existing model is I would be a rich man by now. Of course, ahat sounded like an unlikely scenario to me since there is no reason for Ford to want to deviate from the formula given the unabashed success of the current model. And if this is indeed the next Mustang my suspicions have now been confirmed. The front fascia of the car in this sl=ketch looks more like the schnoz of an 'original Mustang' (in this case the 67-68 model in particular) than any Mustang since that first generation with the lone exception of the GT500!

It'd probably be easy for people who have seen it to comment on this...
...although if theres no rise in the hood and its flat evenly like the 05-09..its probably a concept sketch of the GT500
To me that front end looks too close to the current car (light size/angle of the grille) and the lower grille looks way too ... chunky...
