I too am curious what the OP ended up doing. IMO, based on his current financial situation, I think he should wait a year or two to sort out and stabilize his job/house/etc. He's buying this car and only just now starting to put in for retirement? Whenever you have to compromise retirement savings for a car/new car, that's never a good decision.
Save your money, stabilize, and then think about getting a new car. Getting in debt and living almost paycheck to paycheck is not smart.

I would say fully optioned 2011-2012 gt over the 13's. Yea the new models have alot of awesome features but buying a brand new car is just too expensive these days. Plus the front end of the 10-12 models is just arresting. So mean yet clean!

Well I ended up with a Black 2012 Base model 6mt (exactly what I wanted) for 24,100! (sticker 30,500) I got 4400 for my trade and ended up with a 19,xxx note @ 1.9 percent for a payment of 380/month for 5 years.
Overall I am very very happy! At first it seemed as if the 5.0 seemed to lack that HIT that you get with a turbo car. The torque is just so linear you never get a HIT but rather a solid linear acceleration rate. I have come to appreciate the power it has though and at this point do not feel I really need 3.73's (that might change if I drive/ride with a 3.73 car though lol). It is fully stock minus the fact I painted the OEM wheels black (get tons of compliments...everyone thought I Powdercoated them). And did a muffler delete which sounds awesome. And while yes my money is probably better spent fully investing in my retirement... My workplace gives me a county pension which is better than I first thought it was.
I am also currently in the hiring process for another job which has excellent pay and benefits which would definitely eliminate any money/retirement concerns.

I might look into that tomorrow... I just figured most of them were wanting to make a nice profit on their '11 and '12s. I should just assume that most of these cars that are for sale for ~27k they probably only have ~22k into them.
One thing that might be a killer is the financing...I dont know from experience but have always heard used car financing is typically 3-5% higher than new. I have an 800 credit score so that should help regardless, but I dont want to get stuck with high interest.
Believe me I am a very hard negotiator. Today at one of the dealerships the dealer did the old "if I call and check the milage on these cars, will you agree to buy one of them?" I just laughed and said NOPE. He then asked in different ways 2-3 more times. I got pissed and told him he had 1 minute to get on the phone and call or I would go to the next dealership where they would be happy to check the mileage on these lot cars. Guess what? He called 5 different dealers for me. I respond very negatively to high pressure sales tactics and am more than happy to relay that to salesman. I tell you the price im paying and if you dont agree I will find someone who will!
I am already thinking about the extra couple hundred I am going to take off the lowest negotiated price, plus I want free all weather floor mats, a full tank of gas and the first 3 oil changes on the house![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I would suggest the 13. It is awesome. The front hid lights, The hood vents, The rope tail lights, The new sound system, The lcd in the dash with track apps, 420 hp. but for 10,000 less i would go for the 12. The 12s are kick *** also.
