Fire orange accents found on fordparts.com...

Trying to find a part # and a price for a GT500 wheel, I found that in the parts catalog, a steering wheel is mentioned with "fire orange" accents:

Steering Wheel
Leather Steering Wheel, Charcoal Black/Fire Orange, Steer Wheel-Lea Alu Spk/Redu Sy Nav, Leather Wrap With Redundant Control; Wheel Only, (-P*)

Lists just like the GB and cashmere accents do, same price and part #, but never saw or heard of any such interior color. Just found this interesting and thought I'd pass it on.

The more I've looked into this, the more it looks like a Premier trim color to go along side the Black/Grabber Blue and Black/Cashmere. All mentions of it are in the same context as the other two colors.

Probably just the stitching color on the wheel.

I've found all the seat parts, door panels, and interior trim that has mention to it. Wonder if someone can order it and look to see what it looks like.

Oh, this might be a game changer on the interior for me. Solidify black exterior with Black w/Fire Orange Interior = Sold. Sorry, my college colors, this might be a must. I hope Build 2! Perfect timing for me.

I'm trying to confirm this isn't a GT/CS interior code, but I can't find a pic of the seats close enough to notice. I don't think it is though because of the pics matching the 401A interior, not the 400A.

I thought this as well. Won't be able to do the BOSS though.

Still trying to push a BOSS 302 out by 4th quarter 2011?

I personally hope not, unless it's EARLY in the quarter. Not interested in taking delivery after the roads have been salted.

I should be able to get a good deal with the place I plan to buy from. It will depend upon how many Ford plans to build. If there's a restricted allocation it may be harder. We'll see once Ford decides to tip its hand.

Maybe KC can try to order one and see if they're available?

The (-P) code that's mentioned is the Brick Red/Cashmere colour code.
The other wheels listed have -N, -Q, -U, -W, -R, etc. which all refer to the other interior trim codes in the Order Guide.

I need to go back through and identify all of those. There was another color combo mentioned, something like "black/umber", whatever that means.

From the associated code (4N), it appears Black/Umber is actually the black and saddle interior.

Ok, that helps. Still doesn't cover what the fire orange is referring to.

I would like to know as well, I'm only operating on assumptions and we all know what that does.

So I'll do it anyway-

1) Possible Job 2 Premier option (Since it's listed as 2011 parts)
2) Will go away
3) Boss
