Finally took delivery of my 5.0 - Pics/Impressions Inside
Finally took delivery of my 5.0 - Pics/Impressions Inside (Now with dyno vids!!)
Well its been a long time since February 10th, but the day finally came when I got that call from my dealer. Any body who is still waiting, trust me, the wait is worth it, by FAR.
My previous car was a bolt-on/cammed 07 GT, and I loved the thing. But the 5.0:L, even bone stock would show my old car a thing or two, especially above 80mph.
First impressions?
Driving home from the dealership...
1. Clutch is super light
2. Is the engine even on? Way too quiet (Coming from outrageously loud 07 mustang)
3. Man this shifter is nice
4. Where is my throttle response? Again coming from my custom tuned 07
5. Sync is awesome
Other thoughts were how well balanced the engine was, 6800 rpm and not a single vibration. Also, the car held the road MUCH tighter than my 07. This thing handles extremely well. Its no ZR1, but it will hold its own against STi's, Evo, 370's etc etc when properly driven
Brakes felt considerably stronger than my 07, brake pedal slightly firmer. Less brake dive as well
In the first 36 hours, I have put about 400 miles on my car, I simply love the thing. Let the mods come... Hopefully I am dynoing the car tomorrow morning to see what she has. Then custom tuning it within the next 2 weeks
Here are some pics my friend took last night, hope you guys like them

Still love it though
I'm hoping to put down about 350RWHP tomorrow. The dynojet I go to has always read low on almost every car I have seen there. But, I dont race on a dyno. This car will be tracked hard, very soon
First mods:
1. BMR LCA's
2. 20% Tint
3. Roush Spoiler
Oddly, I first had decided to go spoiler delete, but after seeing a few 2010 roushes, I love the wing. I sound like a ricer, but i dont care
Very nice! Awesome photography...taking pictures at night really brings out the shine and color of all three cars...to whoever took those photos...GREAT JOB!!
btw...I'm so jealous...my dealer says my car is built and is being shipped, but they don't know where it is :-) Gotta love it

Wow, your new ride is beautiful, Intervention. Your pictures are amazing, too; I believe they're the first shots of Sterling Gray that show the clear contrast between the Sterling Gray paint and black components such as the grille, rockers, etc. I love it!
Absolutely beautiful! That's the exact car I would order to the "T". I'd love to hear one with a tune, Long Tubes, X-pipe, hi-flow cats, and quality aftermarket mufflers(Corsa, Kooks, etc...) anyway, enjoy that Bad Boy! I know I would!
Thanks for the comments guys, I just got back from the dyno. Uploading a video now
My friend is somewhat of a professional photographer, this was just a quick thrown together event. When he relaly tries, his shots makes these look like a disposable

Here is the dyno video, sorry for poor quality, it is all I had available on short notice

Man the new stangs are awsome. Ford hit a home run on this one.
