Finally I got my babyy
. . . . says a guy who did exactly the same thing
I haven't driven a stick in a while, and on these I wasn't expecting to need to guide it over for 1st, IIRC when I grew up on sticks, first and second were the "natural" gears, you had to push it over for reverse and above second.
Gotta get all the FL guys to get together for a photoshoot! There's a car show saturday at the Florida Fairgrounds in Tampa, be there or be square
I picked it up with 8 miles and I'm at 45 now. I drove around my neighborhood for a good 30 minutes now and I think I got it down now. No one ever told me that when you go from neutral to first that as you're letting go of the clutch, you still have it pressed down about half or so way as youre moving so it's stable and you don't stall. I always let out too early and it stalled here and there or it was a bit jerky. Glad I got it down smooth now, just gotta keep practicing!

I take the 417 and go around Orlando..... I hate driving thru there in the summer or rush hour. I used to live in Celebration, FL which was tourist HELL!!

I've missed a gear, but never stalled. That's bush league man.
