Kind of expected with the new model year release. March should be significantly improved.

Ford is not at the best time of year for the stang. I know if this delay was over more quickly, they would sell me my car sooner. I am not going to choose from a picked over selection in Feb, when I can get exactly what I want in April.

The Mustang numbers would be higher if they would build and ship my 2012 order.

Yeah, Ford keeps ****ing up their figures by constantly delaying their cars. Last year's cars were delayed for months and everybody was in limbo about whether to wait for a new one or go for the old one... end result: no cars sold. It's not a very good business plan, frankly. I wish them luck.

It tends to make itself up when they finally do release all the cars, like that huge spike in May 2010 when the 2011s finally hit the dealerships.

And how many people do you think just go, "F*** this, I'm getting a Camaro."?

Rather than wait a year for a special order to come in, like some people I know, I very well might have been tempted to.

Some people don't have quite the dedication I do. Also, Exchange New Car Sales only sells Ford and Chrysler, and f***ed if I'm gonna get a Challenger.

What are they supposed to do? Ditch Quality Assurance? Let Chevy cater to the "I want it now" crowd. Sure, people can get frustrated with the wait, but hell if I'm going to buy a different car over a meager delay. Really though in this case what's the big deal of going for a 2011 if the wait is too much? There are almost no differences between them and the 2012s.

Besides, it's only one bad month.

Those sales figures will stay pretty low, I imagine, with the newest gas crunch going on. Maybe a spike when the '12 launches, but prob won't last long...

All I'm saying is, the point of a car company is to sell cars, and if they're not doing that, then what's the point? Yes, I'm aware they're still selling plenty of cars, but this constant policy of unexplained delays is not good policy.

So all of these cars are selling well enough for a healthy aftermarket and parts availability... given that, is anyone really upset about having a slightly rarer hot rod than those made by the other brands?

I want Ford to do well to keep hard working Americans with food on the table...and I would like to see the Mustang name live on as long as possible... but if the Camaro sells better, more power to them.

Yeah, we all know the Mustang is superior to the other Muscle cars out there... but the Camaro and Challenger are great cars and they represent the segment of the auto industry that we all love.

I want them all to sell well!!

Might deter some of the "fad" buyers, but I know MPG was the last thing I thought or worried about when I bought my GT last year. Besides, it gets the same gas mileage as both my Wife's last car a Mercury Milan and her current MKZ. So unless you are going for a econo box the MPG numbers aren't that bad anyway. Plus aren't those numbers for the V6/V8 combined, heck the V6 gets better gas then most mid size sedan's with more performance anyway.
