Father and Son 'Stangs

I loved my new 5.0 vert so much, that 3 weeks to the day after mine finally came in, my son went to the same dealer and picked up a California Special that had just arrived.

No...we don't know which one is fastest yet. We do know that both are faster than his 2010 SHO.

My dad is 70 and he gripes every time he has to fold himself into my car so there won't be any father and son Mustangs in our future...

My son's '07 and my '10 when I first got it. The new plates; 10 GB GT and a chrome grille pony make it look much better.

Awesome. I wish my dad and I owned 5.0s . He sold our 92 5.0 LX 6 months after special ordering it. I wanted to get a 2011 5.0 and park it next to it. Oh well....

I wish my son cared about cars, but he really doesn't. Oh well, he must be who he is and not who I want him to be...

I am very close to your Dad's age, so I know where he is coming from. One of the reasons I got the 5.0 is because it had become so painful folding myself up getting in and out of my C6. But the main reason was because I really missed my '03 GT vert.

I mess with him sometimes and tell him if he'd lose about 40 pounds it wouldn't be so bad.

I'm 48 and it gets harder for me to get in and out of small cars every year, of course part of my problem is bad knees, they go snap, crackle and pop every time I stoop down.

Normally, the sticker goes immediately on my new cars. But this is the nicest sticker I've ever seen, and I just haven't had the heart to remove it yet.

Excellent, that's very cool! My dad drives a Honda Jazz (I think you call 'em Honda Fits?)

Is it getting close to getting together in Robbinsville for a Dragon Run?

Right with ya there, pal. Isn't getting older fun?

All those yearsa of being told "grow up." Well, let me say that "growing up" is vastly overrated.

I'm with you too - just turned 48 last week and am a veteran of knee surgery and back surgery. It doesn't suck getting old (actually that's fun), but BEING old aint no picnic.

Well put! Other way around for me though! Why is it that all the dads have the 05-09s while the sons have the 11s? Well, here's my dads 2011 5.0 and my 2006 GT. That's right, my pops one upped me. But I got to drive it for a few hours so all is good.
