Hey, don't get me wrong, I LIKE thinking that chin spoilers and rear defusers are working. Makes me think I'm spending money on the right stuff!

Yes, he is real. He has to be because I thought the Easter Bunny stayed at his house during the winter. Next thing I know, you are going to tell me there is no Easter Bunny.

Wait just a cotton pickin' minute! If you're saying there's no Santy Clause, and no Easter Bunny, then who the heck left me a painted egg for Christmas!

Got it! Must been the Lepricauns. It all makes sense now!

well do we know for sure that the GT will not have any fake scoops. I know to get the hood scoop on the current model you would have to select the GT Appearence Package when ordering it, so they could still have an option similar to that.

How can it be real? If I can see it and I can touch it then it's there and it's real.Functional? No. Real? Yes. A matter of taste? Yes.

Look I guess I'm a scoop *****, I've got 5. I'd love for them to be real though. But I don't think the modern passenger car for under $30k will have real scoops, so in going for a classic look I copied with fake scoops. I can see it both ways, but Ford did already put 2 on the car, so I figure 3 more can't hurt right? My question would be like above, does the same go for chin spoilers, all rear spoilers, rocker panels, rear diffusers? How about bumper covers. Then again why don't we all just drive aerodynamic chunks of aluminum and fiberglass devoid of any characteristic that isn't 100% functional and beneficial at the same time?

I can't say I completely regret the scoops, but I can see all of your points. Yes they are fake. I know. Maybe if I had to do it all over again I might do it different. Ultimately the best for me would be to have 2 mustangs, this one with the scoops and another with a spoiler delete looking nice and clean. Oh well. I understand your points of view, just putting in my 2 cents.

If they come as optional features, or optional delete features, I have no problem with scoops or spoilers.

Personally, I prefer the clean lines, no scoops, and maybe just a little ducktail on the rear.

We all (or at least most of us here) love Mustangs. We often differ on why, what aspects we like or dislike, MYs, body styles, etc., but we tend to agree that the basic Mustang-ness is what makes the car great.

So I say let those who want scoops have 'em; let those who want spoilers/diffusers have 'em; let those who want none of them not have to have 'em.

Makes us all happy, Ford - just keep building affordable, good-looking, high bang-for-the-buck Mustangs in as many flavors as possible...
