Electronics package ?

Just got a quick question guys

Is the electronics package really worth it?

I already have a nice GPS unit and I really dont see the point giving sirius a monthly payment every month after my free subscription is over.

EVERY PENNY and more. It's worth it just to be able to store CD's, 200 CD's stored with plenty of room to spare and to play DVD's. You can buy this thing call LOCKPICK that unlocks the lockout while driving so, your passengers can watch a DVD while you drive (:

Also you don't pay any service fee for the electronic package. Unless you want to get sirus or want the weather, sports, movies on it. I love my electronic package blends right in with the car and it's a very hands on item.

Love my electronics package... Worth every dime. Beyond many of the other benefits, it's the only bluetooth that I have ever used that my brother and wife don't b*tch at me about the quality of sound.

This has been discussed many times before. In the end all that matters is if it is valuable to you......not us. Everyone is different so while Brembo brakes may hold value to one guy, to me they don't.

I do suggest researching the package to see everything you get from it instead of thinking it is just GPS. Sirius, i believe, comes in cars that don't have the EP also.

You don't have to pay for Sirius after your free trial expires. Don't like it? Don't pay for it. But if you read the forum you'll see Sirius will offer you the service for $77/yr as you get close to the expiration date and ignore their first deals they send. I waited for it to expire and after a few weeks they offered me 5 months for $20 pre-paid. For $4/mth, it is worth it to me.

I have the rear camera, so the EP also gave me the LCD screen for seeing what is behind me. That is value added for me....maybe not others. I didn't want the camera at first, but it came with the car and I am glad it has it now.

I am a gadget person, so the EP is right up my alley.

I ordered my GT with the Electronics Package yesterday!!!

I think it is worth the $ and I like the idea of the rear camera too.

Also, I have XM in my pontiac - same story as above, wait till your service expires and they will call and offer it to your for a huge discount just so you re-subscribe.

The only thing I wanted from the electronics package was dual zone climate control & $2,300.00 seemed a bit high for that feature.

Get it! I use it everyday, and you don't have to pay sirius for it

I've got the electronics package and love it. I don't use navigation all that often but when I do, it's nice to have. The voice activation makes it nicer than a portable GPS unit. Plus, there are a lot of other things it does besides navigation, as others have mentioned. Is it worth the money? Well, we all have things we enjoy that other people are going to call a waste of money. For many people getting a GT is stupid when the V6 now makes over 300 hp. Others may say a GT is fine, but it's a waste of money to opt for a Boss 302. It's your money, only you can say if it's worth it.

Not just yes but hell yes!! As mentioned more than a GPS. Personally I really like the handsfree phone feature much nicer than the plain sync system.

No, I really didn't see anything in the package, that was worth the price for me. This is a second car for me, my mid-life crisis car according to some & the additional $2,300.00 would've been a deal breaker for my budget.
