Hmmm, the Mustang seemed like a pain in the **** just to turn stuff off to do burnouts, Guess it wont matter most people will just have a aftermarket tuner to shut those things off.

I have one on my '02 GT but don't plan on it for my '11.

1) voids warranty

2) such a new motor, decent tunes will take a while to hammer out.

This is good news for people buying a 2011 GT. There is a good chance if you run a SS Camaro from a red light.........The Camaro might just "go up in smoke".

Good news for sure. This test is silly. If you want a burnout, powerbrake.... if you want a good takeoff, you want traction.

No, it will not void your warranty unless you blow up the motor BECAUSE OF the tune and then bring it in still tuned.

Mustang had the best launches to me, Camaro had the best 2nd gear chirp, and idk about the Challenger...

Considering the length of the burnout..I'd say it had the second best grip in this case.

Wouldn't gearing effect this outcome?

no one noticed that they had the WRONG torque figure for the Mustang. They had 309 ft lbs on the text where it really is 390 ft lbs.

a couple thoughts about the results of this video assuming he was definitively trying to burn rubber to the max

1. the Mustang was wearing the All-Season P Zero Neros
??do the P Zero summer tires grip better at launch??
i would assume they do

2. the Camaro went up in smoke the most or longest or easiest i assume, even after the shift to 2nd gear
many of the Camaro5 posters that thought the MTrend test was biased claimed that the Camaro was sissy-launched, bogged at the line, while the Mustang was launched properly
looks like the test driver at MTrend may be a better driver than one (they) might think
was it better to bog the car a bit off the line or lose whatever time by spinning like crazy as was shown will occur with a ham-fist launch?

when i had my 87 5.0 LX, anytime a heads-up drag was imminent, spinning the tires too much was always on my mind even when i had the quicker car
it's good to see the tables turned and that this car hooks reasonably well

You hold the button down for eight seconds while the car is stopped. It's not rocket science.

Generally I think burnouts are stupid, but I have to admit that the Camaro's display of raw power was very impressive. The second gear burnout was very, very cool.

On another note, I am starting to like the looks of the CS package on the Mustang more and more. Hated it at first.
