Edelbrock has unveiled their new E-Force supercharger system for the 2011 Mustang at SEMA:

No horsepower ratings yet, but I'm sure we'll find out soon.

Figured edelbrock would be coming out with this pretty soon.
My prediction, given edelbrock being conservative as they are, a power rating in the 495-500 HP range for their warrantied system.

Actually it's 466hp and 439lbs of torque. It doesn't say whether or not it's at the wheels or crank. Price is $5800 for complete kit and it says they have a race kit that supports between 700-800 hp.

Those HP numbers are what the 2005-2010 kits are rated at, can't possibly be the same for the 2011 5.0.

lol i was thinking theres no way anyones gunna pay $5000 + for a gain of 54 hp or even if it was at the wheels it still wouldnt be worth that much money

Doh! Thanks Coupe66US
While obviously the stock strut tower brace wouldn't fit, I'm sure a decent fabrication shop could at least do some sort of a brace, or a tri-point, having it connect back to the firewall, and perhaps one going in front of the blower..
Or say nevermind to all that, and get a cowl hood. Bye bye clearance issues :P

I think you're on to something. Here's a picture that does a great job of showing just how much room there is between the 05-10 strut bar, and the manifold. Using the valve covers as a reference, there looks to be ample room between the bar and the top of the Edelbrock unit.

If you look at the strut tower, you'll see the coolant resevoir mounted to it with a bracket. To me, this rules out running a strut brace as you'd have to bolt it down over that bracket.

The coolant reservoir is mounted in the same location on the 2005-10 Mustangs. As you can see in the picture above your last post, the STB fits just fine.

Touche. I blew right by that picture. Something still doesn't seem right about it though. It seems that you would need to put washers on the other side so that the STB sits evenly on the towers. Even if it did work, I'm not so sure it would be the best idea unless I'm totally missing something.
