In the ole days ('86-93 Fox bodies), all driveshafts were one piece. I figured they are making them nowadays in two pieces for a reason.

So does this mean if I install a one piece aluminum driveshaft into my 2013 5.0, it won't handle high top speeds without falling apart? I'm considering one to get around the noisy, blender-like sound during shifts, and to lose a little weight.

From what I understand the GT motor sits further back in the engine bay than the V6, hence the shorter DS length. Or it could be the 2 extra cylinders.
