I bought the pony valve stem caps for the tires from Americanmuscle a month ago. I drove my Mustang in the rain today and when I got home and looked at my tires, both caps on the front right and rear right tires were gone. How did this happen? I mean the caps were screwed on tight, did the tires heat up and they popped off or something? Anyway, save your money and don't buy the caps, I put the stock valve stem caps back on.

 

More than likely somebody stole them.

 

but the two on the left front and left rear tires were on, just the right ones. wouldn't they steal all 4

 

Not if they thought someone was coming. But just because the parts might have fell off or gotten stolen doesn't mean its a faulty part.

 

They were stolen, probably on some kids bike. Lol.

I stopped getting fancy valve stem caps a long time ago b/c so many kids tried to steal them. they grab what they can and run away. that's why only a couple got stolen. Don't worry, they'll be back for the rest soon enough.

 

yeah I guess that's possible, probably on someone's bike right now never thought it got stolen because I'm usually parked in a parking lot or in my driveway with a gate. they cost me $20 with shipping, sucks

OP, sorry about your caps but it was DEFINITELY some kid on a bike.
Unfortunately, that is a very popular/easy thing to do for kids.
Used to happen in my HS parking lot all the time.

At least they didn't steal the emblems off your car!
