I offen wonder why Ford left this odd shaped whole in the center console just left if the headphone jack. Does it serve a purpose?

 

Mine has a plastic piece to cover that hole. It appears yours is missing it.

Ha....me too. covered. Good place to hide a .380 snubnose. Off topic I know, but really, it is.

Lol I was wondering about that my self when I poped the plastic off.

 

It appears to be an access panel for the parking brake adjustment stud. When the brake is applied the extension would be in the way of hiding a 'buddy' in there, I'm afraid.

 

This. Had to use it to adjust the brake on my 2006 when it started to become loose a couple years back.

 

You should pay your dealer a visit, dball584. Let me know what happens.

Kill switch. Looks factory.

 

How hard is it to rig a kill switch in an 11+? Seems pretty straight forward. Id like it so if someone got a hold of my keys, they could only start it if they knew about the switch, for which I'd use Emblem Pro's switch panel. (An option for the OP; see link below.) The panel was missing in my '13 from the factory as well, but I didnt even notice it for about a month, which makes me think it'd be a great place for a kill. I just wouldn't label the switch. And though someone could eventually figure it out, the longer it takes, the more time I have to catch their azz. Can't you just run a switch to your starter solenoid?

I just drilled a hole in the stock piece and snapped in a $2 switch. Its not a killswitch for the whole car, but something else. Looks factory, and I'm sure would be pretty easy to rig up a similar setup to kill the starter. Easy to get throught he firewall, by either drilling a hole next to the soundtube or just use the soundtube hole and a little silocone to make the seal tight. You can just push the wire under the console and fish it through, couldnt be easier.

 

honest officer !!!! i dint know the gun would go off and kill my wife when she pulled the emergency brake ....

EDIT: or maybe to the clutch pedal would be easier. Guess I should grab one of those wiring diagram books off eBay.
