Does the new 5.0 sound different than the 4.6?
It was a couple years before you really started hearing many on the road with afternmarket mufflers.
Now I can't remember the last time I heard a stock one. Good excuse to get mine running, I guess
Count me in as EVERYONE!
So if Ford was smart enough to try and make the Bullitt sound like the movie car, maybe they will tune the new 5.0 to sound like the Fox???? Especially since it was such a distinctive part of the car. I realize they are completely different engines, but it would be pretty cool to at least try to get a bit of that old 5.0 sound out of it.
Well it'll sound different, and I'm sure like before, sound engineers will twist it into a symphony of V8-y goodness

I've heard from people though the engine sounds pretty badass....
It'll still sound muscley...

You are 100% correct! I had flowmasters on my LX, first with no tailpipes (LOTS of GT guys did it that way) then with Dynomax 2 1/2" cat back. I also tried the no muffler approach...just like everyone else. Good times, though!

If Ford could engineer the Coyote to sound like this, it would be over. I'd never turn off the car.

Lol, you'd need 4 more cylinders, 11L more displacement and a supercharger!
