I have the bama free tunes for life. I am getting new tires for my Gt. My current tires are Nitto 255/35/20 and 285/30/20. The new tires are MT 275/35/20 and 305/35/20.

Do I need to get new tunes?

 

You may need to adjust the rpm per mile if your overall wheel heights change. If your device has that option available seperate from the tune you can adjust it. If not they may need to adjust it in the tune and send it to you.

 

as it is free for life, get the tune revised and if you have not tried the new V2 tune from bama. it will be a good time to do that too.

Although the car will still run fine, and the speedo will not change by anything major, a revision would be recommended to get it back to perfect and the Bama team will be able to take care of that for you quickly and easily!

Shoot them a call and they can have everything all setup!

You can have Bama adjust the tune for the new tires; or you can do it yourself using "adjust parameters" before you-reload your existing tune.

If you want to do it yourself, first look up your rear tires on the manufacturer's web site and find the "revolutions per mile" number. Then go in to your tuner like you were going to load a tune to the car. Go in to the "adjust parameters" screen, find revs/mile, find the number that is closest to the right number for your rear tires, and select it; then go ahead and load the tune.

 

I just installed the new tunes I got from Bama. My speedo was off by about 4 miles at 60mph.

Everything is back to normal.

 

Basically the same as mine was since i have the same tires. My revs per mile had to be set to 750 i think. I did it manually with my sct.

 

This is good to know as those are the tires i have and the tires im switching to on my next tire set.
Also, Cinizer mentioned V2 tunes? What are those? I have Bama tunes in my car from about a year ago.
