Cool Did some stuff to my car, pics.

So, I did some minor mods to my car this 3 day weekend, I very happy with how they turned out. I snapped some pictures to show everyone what I did, opinions would be loved.

(I painted the tire lettering white, and painted the little inset of the door sill plates silver.

Looks good to me! 1 thing, though. I just bought those tires for that 65 that none of you know about. They came with white letters. Yours didn't? I did turn them to be seen.

If you like the Boss, keep it like it is!!

Some may give you snide comments for having BOSS on the side- But it's your ride to do as you please. For doing all those yourself you have a steady hand! Nice work.

Yeah, I do get snide remarks, but what most people don't realize is that this is my first car, I'm 16 years old, and I am happy with a fake Boss. Yes, it was very very hard to paint those letters, took me literally all day. It was so worth it though! It's a unique thing too, I haven't seen a modern Stang with them.

Isn't painting your V6 to say Boss (or your GT to say Cobra) kind of like going out with a girl, telling her you have a really huge ****, then pulling down your pants and be rocking a mini-corndog?

Why not just manage expectations?

That being said, car looks good.

edit: OK, OP is 16. Nevermind my snarky remark.

You have a 65? I didn't know that man, hmm I have looked online for white letter tires for my Mustang and no one makes a tire with them painted already. There is a Nascar tire that has white letters on it, but they only come in 15 inch rim size.

Oh yeah, they were 14".
Long story as short as I can get it. I have a friend who drove it as her 1st car. Her dad bought it new for like $2800? They just had it in the garage. I was going to oversee it coming back to life. I got it running & told her to buy these tires. It just needed way more thought than I could give it! I returned it to them.

This is prolly the 6th thread about the BOSS stuff on the V6... and it's been mentioned before that dealers are selling them like this. Maybe you guys should raise hell with Ford if it's that big a deal.

Guys, dont forget that the new 2011 V6 stang is faster than the original Boss 302 from the 60's and 70's......

Nice car dude, I wish I could afford one like that at your age instead of an old Honda Civic SI 1989 !

I believe in the other thread he said it says 305 HP on the hood.

either way, nice job. Love the old school look. Put BOSS, put FERRARI put M3, put "I have an 11-inch winky" on it. Whatever makes you happy. enjoy your ride!
