Dealer made "Mach 1"
These pics are from a car that Innskeep Ford here in Greenfield is selling. (The car now has a black GT 500 rear spoiler that was added after I took these pics.) They asked me what I though about it, & I told them it needs a chin spoiler & some kind of Magnum 500 style wheels. I'm also not too crazy about the Cobra Jet emblems. What do you guys think?

Here's all the pics
IDK, I mean while I appreciate the effort... I'm just sorta nonchalant on it.
The spoiler is the wrong one, should be a pedestal spoiler.
Also, agreed on the chin spoiler and magnum 500 rim.
add a rear window louver.
Not too sold on the side scopes...
Also I feel if they're going to remove the GT logos on the side, the faux cap should have been removed too- granted that would have involve body work to get rid of the base structure, but go big or go home... or replace it with the Pony logo cap.
All in all, I guess having a shaker hood and a stripe that says mach 1 doesn't do it for me...
Still, it's a nice ride none the less tho.

I had *no* idea the hood was so deformed around the 'power dome' area... that's hideous... why would they do that? That flat black makes it worse. The second try is way better, and more to the original idea.
They jacked it up. Take off the Mach 1 badges and call it something... else.

Not sure how I feel about the shaker. Looks ok in some photos and busy in others. The wing on the first car is a no go as are the side scoops. And I'm not a fan of ford's red interior. I just don't think all this "stick on" stuff is in keeping with the nice clean lines of the new car. The black out panels look good, but as has been pointed out, magnify the gap on the trunk lid relative to the car's body. And no magnum 500s is a no no.

The variety of opinions is interesting. I have an '03 Mach 1, & I didn't post these pics on the Mach 1 Registry site because I know that Mach "purists" would not like the car.
Thanx for the input everyone.

I think it's pretty sharp. Would be kinda cool to have next to my 03 mach. Not being a "real" mach is a big thing though. All and all, I like it. My only real complaint (and I suppose I am in the minority) is I don't care for the smoked/blacked out pony on the front grill. If I ever bought a new GT I would swap it out with the V-6 chrome pony. IMO it's a classic Mustang design trait. I love the new GT's but it just seems like something is missing.
