We sure dont live in a perfect world- i just wish people would do what you ask them sometimes....

I just realized they put the front license plate bracket on- when i asked them not to. I was going to supply them with the hideaway one if they complained that it wasnt legal to sell without a plate on the front.

Ugh..... i want to scream!!!!!

Tell them to show you a copy of the statute about selling a car without a front plate. It may be illegal to drive without a plate, but I doubt illegal to sell. Besides, if your can supply your own type of bracket it is all BS for sure.
A really good body shop can fix the holes. Other people here have had it fixed to their satisfaction.
If you have any paperwork that states "no front plate" they should have to pay for the repair. I had that stated on their paperwork.

They offered me 4 free oil changes...they wont fix the bumper so im stuck with that.

Im asking him now if he can keep his 4 free oil changes and get me a killer deal on the wheel n tire package.

Im pretty much stuck now- i really wanted that bumper free of any holes.

He came back with the wheel/tire package is 400 and he is willing to discount it to 198. I think that is fair and nice of him to do something for me.

Those **** holes will haunt me forever lol

I'm sorry they screwed you on the bumper mike Likely it was a miscommunication between sales and the prep guys. My salesman actually had to take the bracket out of my trunk so that they wouldn't install it.

Good thing those bumper plugs are a good fix, and getting $200 off wheels and tires is pretty sweet

At least he's going to do something for you and those bumper plugs should look OK. When I ordered mine and while I was waiting I told them at least 5 times , not to drill the bumper and not to put the dealer decal on. When I got there to pick up the car there was a dealer decal on it. Luckily there is no front tag in Fla or I'm sure the bumper would have been drilled. I made them remove the decal before I would complete the deal.

If 'by chance' they have another SG GT coming in, then ask if they would swap the bumpers for you in place of the free oil changes.

Congrats on the new stang, and getting it so quick.

We ordered our new 2011 stang on 10/26 and Ford scheduled it to be built the week of 1/10/2011, which really stinks. When we placed the order our salesperson said that according to the Ford Zone Rep it would be built and delivered before the end of the year, which we now know was incorrect.

PTrocks- ill ask them tomorrow is that is a possibilty- never thought of this. I highly doubt it but its worth a try...

Soflo yeah that sucks man- why such a long delay? according to ford they are trying to do a 4 week turn around now instead of 6-8 weeks. Keep less on the lots and faster factory turn around. I guess there not up to speed yet lol.

Congrats on the car Mike! Thats too bad about the front plate bracket. That little setback won't keep the grin off your face when you are behind the wheel of that 5.0!

Finally in our driveway- long day at the dealership...but in the end we got a killer deal

Got the dent n ding, windshield protection, tire/wheel care and 6yr 48k mile bumper bumper- i wanted 6 yrs bumper to bumper and since we wont be doing alot of miles i went for the yrs. 895 total.

The interior is just awesome- the red is so sweet.

Time for mods now

very sick car, one of the best colors too. what dealer you buy from? i would have shot the guy in the face for putting a front plate on. i got lucky with the last two not having holes there. had to make sure no plates were put on them. got close on the cobra, stopped him right as he was kneeling down to do it.
