Dealer installed Ford Racing parts
Any thoughts on the Mustang GT side exhaust. http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=13177
I have just ordered a 12 GT and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this item. In addition to this, I am going to add Ford Racing power pack with the GT 500 touring mufflers and tune.
Secondly, any input would be appreciated for input regading going for the Brembo brake package as an option or adding the handling pack

instead. I want to lower the car and have improved handling. I want to have it warrantied. It is not clear even through reading the posts if there are significant suspension upgrades with the Brembo's.

Of course it will still have what some (including myself) refer to a 4x4 look. That is why some opt for lowering springs or coil-overs. Really just depends on what you want to do with your car, how you use it and want it to look, etc.
I love the Brembos. I just wish the rears were Brembos too.
Just my $0.02
Take a look at my options/mods on my car. Sounds like the pkg you want.
My take, the Brembo package is a MUST. I test drove a regular non-brembo pkg, and it is WAYYYYYYY diff't from the brembo pkg. Better brake feel, better handling, plus steering adjustment available.
As for lowering, that's also a must. I have FRPP K springs, and are the perfect drop. Handling is miles above stock. Ride is actually improved. Highly recommended.

If you keep the car stock. Get it. I have it. If you want a better ride And better handling, save your money and get Koni Str-t and steeds ultralights from Sam Strano. Pick wheels you want and buy wider wheels seperate. Buy some GT500 takeoff brakes. They are the same. It would be a better driving car. If you want the name and those wheels, go for it. For the record the suspension is only good when really pushing it. Even then, it pitches too much. Otherwise it's wheelhop and bouncieness on almost any concrete road.
Thanks all for the input. After considering what I really want out of the car, I am going to pass on the Brembos. It looks like I am going to pass on the handling package to. The dealer's quote on labor shocked me. For better or worse, I am going with a base GT coupe with the only option being the 3.73 rear end and see where it goes from there.

My dealer and EVERY dealer in my region flat-out refused to install the FRPP power pack, and furthermore said that if I do it myself I would void my warranty.
So for me there is no warranty with FRPP power stuff. May as well go large & kiss warranty goodbye, or hire a team of lawyers to fight these dealers.

Thanks for that. I had previously used that link to identify that there is an extreme shortage of FRPP dealers near me. The only one within a 2 to 3 hour drive is a Lincoln Dealer (Poquoson Lincoln-Mercury...um I guess just Lincoln now) in Newport News, VA. I spoke to their FRPP sales specialist who told me in no uncertain terms that not only will they not honor my drivetrain warranty of I install the FRPP power pack, but they will NOT install it either, on the basis that they will not install anything that will void my warranty. How's that for irrefutable logic?!?
But I personally know of someone who had the FRPP power pack on his 2011 5.0 and he had the #8 cylinder issue. His dealer repaired the whole thing and then re-installed the FRPP tune for him(!). Must be nice living near NYC and having options available to you like that.
So I am leaning toward the Steeda intake/tune since I have not read about anyone having a #8 issue with that. But it won't be for awhile since I have 3500 miles currently and would be facing marital strife if something major happened to break and I had just "Steeda'ed" away 56,000 miles of my drivetrain warranty...
<Sigh> Thanks anyway.

You know, and I'm not directing this at Deysha at all here, this whole thing is being handled wrong by Ford IMO. The FRPP tune should be covered by every dealer or none. The consumer is left to the mercy of the dealerships. What if the dealership gets a new service manager and they decide all of the sudden that your warrantee is null and void because of a stupid tune? Either the tune is safe or it isn't. If Ford wants to market this vs all of the aftermarket tuners then they need to stand behind it. At this point you're better off with an American Muscle tune because you know they will honor it. /rant

I am close to getting the frpp tune since my dealer will warranty it 100%
PM sent to you. I'd rather not speak publicly for the individual involved. He probably doesn't mind but it isn't my place to presume he doesn't.
