If you live in Texas you will soon be removing your ali cue ball shifter LOL, its a skin removal device on hot summer days, as are the billets in the steeering wheel

I swapped mine out for custom cue ball, engraved to match exterior colour of car, if I hadnt been a mupet and scratech my Ali one taking it off I woild offer it for sale LOL

I like everything about the 400 interior better than 401a except for the shifter. I will be ordering the **** and boot from 401a and installing it

I went to the local dealer yesterday to inquire about ordering the shifter **** and boot. They could not locate part numbers for them. The guy who was helping me said he would run a PATCO on them. Parts Assistance Control Opperations. He said someone in Detroit would have to get back to him. I'll post here what he tells me.

I know I'm not the only one who wants to get this shifter as soon as possible. I would like to have it in hand before I even get the car.

The guy from the parts department just got back to me. He said it is not available now, but it will be in the future. I guess I'll check back again in about a month and see what he says.

Does anyone know about how long it usually takes for parts from a new model year car to show up in the parts catalog?

Does anyone know if you can run the GT500 shifter **** and boot in place of the standard GT ****? I'm just not sure if the thread pattern is the same.

Best size, best feel, best look.

That's what she said.

I will consider the GT500 cue ball. Not really crazy about how the race strips conflict with the shift pattern graphic. Even still, I think the GT500 cue ball would stand out well on a black interior without the striped seats. Good thing is that the shift pattern matches, not that it matters if you know the gears.

You can get the SVT PP ball which is all white.

The shift pattern does NOT match though... TR6060 Reverse is top right. MT82 is different.

Shift pattern is different on the two cue *****. On the GT reverse is next to first gear. On the GT500 it's next to 5th gear.
