I pretty much have the wife's approval to upgrade from my 2011 5.0 to a 2012 GT500.

Luckily I am wont be upside down in the 5.0, and my local dealer is honoring the X-Plan and the $2500 off. There is one exactly setup up how I want about 30 miles from me and they will do a dealer trade to get it here.

It is Kona Blue with the Satin Silver stripes and Navigation. It isn't the SVT package, but I really had no need for what that brought and didn't think it is worth $4000 extra.


So hopefully soon this stallion will be parked in my stable, just need the financing to go through!!! If not I will still be happy with the 5.0

That's awesome! You'll feel the 130 HP for sure. If you really wanted to save a bunch of money, wait till the 2013s come out and I have a feeling 2012s will be cheap.

Good luck, if its exactly what you want dont let it slip through your fingers. I had one i was considering sitting at an obscure dealership in the middle of nowhere (had been sitting there since august 2011)... while i was haggling someone else bought it. Luckly i found Jeff Greenly on here and he was able to find me exactly what i wanted. If you want it go get it, like I found out your not the only person thats been sitting back and waiting for deals on the 2012 Shelby!

 

With the added 2k tacked onto the 2013 Boss, a 'leftover' 2012 Shelby is now even more tempting. I agree that for street use there's not a lot of value in the SVT PP. Sure the wheels look cool, but almost a 4k option? For the same money you can get Nav & the glass roof. Good luck!
