I thought windshield tint was illegal...

Autosport Ultraviolet Heat Shield
Well since our posts my shade has also arrived. Turns out the kickass Autosport shade I mentioned is made by Covercraft! I ordered and received the exact one you did, but I got silver. Good choice!

Just curious,it appears in the photos of the Covercraft that there is a significant unprotected area around the rearview mirror. Am I wrong?

Not sure about "significant".... But there has to be some minor gap for the shade to go through and pass the mirror. But not a gap significant enough for concern or to allow light through. I love my shade, in fact, about to go to the store for the wifey and will use it there.

Did you order one for a '12? Their site says they don't have one for the '13.

I don't anticipate there being any difference between a 10 - 13. Should all fit.

Btw, I love both shades so well (stang and acura), that now I want to order one for the wifey and her minivan. Covercraft is Dang perfect.

Covercraft offers a bunch of different logos including several Mustang specific but not all retailers mess with them. You can get any of them if you buy directly from Covercraft but that means paying full retail.

At the time there were only two stores on the internet that sold the shade with a Mustang logo. I bought mine from Race-Mart: http://www.race-mart.com/Covercraft-COR-UF11112F.html. It's a very strange store and confusing with different free membership levels. I think it had spotty customer ratings but they were pretty much all related to things taking longer than expected to arrive, so it's probably not a good place to buy if you are in a hurry. If I recall, the owner did lower the price or did free shipping when I asked but it was a long time ago and I might be thinking of something else.

Thank You, I will order mine as soon as I finish writing this reply.
That shade looks like a factory custom fit inside the car and it looks awesome. Sold!!
Anwser me one question. I see you have the hard wired kit for you escort. I have the Escort/Passport 8500 X50BLK and have the 12V power plug/cord. What you have looks like a very convenient solution to avoid having to plug the power cord in all the time and most of all, have a cord hanging down in front of you window and in front of your dash controls.
So, Can you see any of the hard wiring inside the interior of the car after install.

Thanks for you response to my question in advance...

Np at all man. Yes I am very very very pleased with this product. In fact, I just used it today again as I drove Marilyn today. It was in the 80s today, but inside, my shift **** and detector (I keep it under a mf towel on the console) stayed cool.

As for my invisicord hookup it's super easy to use and install. You can't see the wire once installed. I just use the basic suction cup mount, but you can get a special mirror mount or blendmount. See my thread below for more info.

It all in the details! Yeah, I ordered my Covercraft heat shield from Autogeek for $59 and an extra option was the carrying case for $10 bucks, totalling $69. Both might seem like a lot of cash for a window heat shield, especially when I seen some in Autozone for like maybe the best one for $12.99 I think.
Make no mistake about it though, those in Autozone were garbage compared to the custom one from Covercraft. Especially from your photos. I wasn't going to stick that $12 floppy heat shield in a brand new Mustang GT!!
Only up to 2012 mustangs though, but I guess nothing has changed on the inside with the 2013's. I ordered it anyway!! Next Up, That Escort direct invisible wire. I seem something on the Escort Website.

Anyway, thanks for all the tips and good luck with any future mods.

Escort doesn't sell any of those cords. Visit www.invisicord.com
