Thumbs down Couple of Observation on 2012-2013 differences

I looked at both 2012 and 2013 order guides for a V6. I noticed the 3.31 axle is no longer available seperately. The 3.31 only shows up in the performance package. So, unless you buy that package there is no way to add it. I also noticed the v6 premium only comes with Shaker audio which i believe for 2013 is the 380 watt version. It states Shaker Pro audio is a option for electronic package only. The comfort package now includes heated mirrors and pony projector for 2013.

I just bought a 2012 V6 Premium MCA in Race Red with the 3.31 axle. I totally recommend this axle with the V6. I wonder if the performance package can be combined with a MCA.

Agreed, the 3.31 is a definite must have. The Performance Package is indeed available for 2013 on MCA Mustangs as it was in 2011 & 2012 although now it will be available with an automatic transmission.

V6 and Mustang should never be associated.

I disagree, if the Mustang was alittle lighter I would even think 4, cyl would be nice.

But it has been ever since the first ones rolled off the assembly line in 1964... If you don't want anything but a V8 Mustang then don't buy anything else...

Agreed, even your screen name refers to a one off V6 that SVT made in 1999 maybe not the inspiration but one in the same

I agree, the V-6 isn't a Mustang. I couldn't afford the V-8 so i ordered (1 1/2 years ago) and paid $33,915.00 for a 2011 V-6. I told my insurance co., a V-6 isn't a Mustang but they still have it listed as a 'Sports Car' . My first 3 (New) Mustangs were 4 clyinders...

Ignorance is bliss I guess. Have you driven the new 3.7L V-6? It's an awesome car for the money.

Holy ****! You paid more for your V6 than I paid for my 2011 GT!

3.31's are horrible unless you are turbo. Ford needs to have 4.10's as an option from the factory.

There were no V6's until 1974 (prior 6 cylinders were inline engines). I've personally owned a V6 Mustang (75 Mach 1) and a 4 cylinder Mustang (88 LX) and have owned nothing but V8's since (89 5.0L LX, 00 GT, 03 Mach, 07 GT, and 11 5.0L GT). While the new 3.7L V6 is awesome, it just doesn't have the V8 soundtrack and low end torque that I love so much.

Just as Tom noted above, you paid much more for your '11 V6 than some of us paid for '11 V8's. I bought my '11 5.0L Brembo GT brand new for just $28K + tax/lic. Of course, I'm sure you got more of the luxury goodies than I did.

In many ways a V6 is more true to the 65 and to the original intent than the GT or Shelby is...

Yeah, but the 3.31's are SO much better in the 3.7L car than the stock gears! I'd go to an 8.8" rear end with 3.55's if I had a 2011+ V6. Then Pro-Charge it for 400+ HP and lower insurance rates than a GT.

I've owned a '75 Mustang II that had to 4 banger in it. Wasn't too bad of a car besides the radical departure design wise. After putting a 351C in it, the car was awesome.

I like the 3.7L Mustang's with a nice aftermarket exhaust. They sound like exotic race engines when setup properly.

Had I of bought a 3.7L 'Stang, I bet I would of gone through a few set ups looking for just the right tone! Just like I did with this one! LOL!
